Plastic Surgery Mistakes

Mistakes can happen in plastic surgery, during any surgery, by any doctor. Plastic surgery mistakes can usually be avoided if the patient is properly screened. Mistakes that can occur during a plastic surgery include poor care post-operative, improper procedures and surgical error.

The most noticeable and frequently the hardest to fix plastic surgery mistakes occur during facial procedures. Some mistakes in facial plastic surgery can leave a person looking extremely unnatural. Others can leave the person paralyzed with nerve damage, grossly disproportioned, asymmetrical, and scarred or with tightened or hardened body tissue.

Many celebrities have had the misfortune of plastic surgery mistakes. The most popular mistakes in plastic surgery have happened to Michael Jackson. There is a rumor that he has had no much surgery that his nose had to be removed and replaced with a prosthetic one. The same has been said about his cheekbones and chin.

Mickey Rourke is another celebrity that has been affected by bad plastic surgery. He has had so many facelifts that he no longer has sideburns. This happens when the face is lifted so many times that the skin with the sideburns is taken off during surgery. Most plastic surgeons try to keep this from happening.

Tips for Staying Young

As we women get older or our body starts changing in ways that make you wonder if you are changing into some sort of creature of the night. As women age, the same hormones that made you go out with that jerk your sophomore year at college and then later make you gain five pounds on chocolate cake. You know the evil little terrors I mean.

Well, they attack again when you get older. You start growing hair all over the place. Your mustache will come in better than your teenage son’s will. Things start sliding out of place as well. You will wake up one morning and wonder where your chin went. Older ladies tend to be a little paler; they seem to reflect the sun instead of tanning.

However, not all hope is lost, there are some wonderful inventions out there on the market today that you can use and no one will ever know that you turn into an ogre when the sun goes down.

To get rid of that Fu Manchu, the best hair removal cream can be found at your local drug store. Some women prefer to wax or bleach, but whatever you do, do not shave.

There are several different methods that tighten loose skin. You can go all out with plastic surgery, get a few Botox injections from time to time or simple try one of the many skin tightening moisturizers at your local drug store.

Also at your local drug store, you will find discount tanning lotions. Sunless tanning lotion is a great way to add a little more color to your aging skin.

Choosing the Perfect Gift

If you’ve been nominated the gift-buyer in the family or at the office (we all have one), then sometimes choosing the perfect gift can be a bit of a challenge. If you’re charged with buying gifts for him, whether it be your work colleague, dad, brother or husband, then usually they’re pretty easy to buy for – a nice aftershave or a magazine subscription would be ideal. Most of the men I know are happy with whatever you get for them. Even the odd pair of socks is appreciated, if their sock drawer is looking a little depleted. And my dad loves promotional gifts – if it’s free, he’ll accept it, wear it, and love it even if it has a company’s name plastered all over it.

The women on the other hand, aren’t. Buying gifts for her can be harder, even if you’re female yourself. You can buy makeup, but what shades or colours? Jewellery is a nice present, but do they wear gold or silver, diamonds, pearls or sapphires? Chocolates might not be appreciated, and wine is a personal taste. Same as perfume – what you love might not be as favoured by the recipient.

I always buy gift vouchers! They can buy anything they want then. No problems!

The Importance of the Handbag

Some women like shoes, some women like sunglasses, but the most important accessory to any outfit is by all means the handbag. Women are very careful when they buy handbags. Just as the right handbag can make you, the wrong handbag can break you. There are so many options available when it comes to handbags. You want a bag that will look good and function well. You want a bag that you can take where you want to go and have the capacity to hold everything you need it to hold. One of my personal favorites when it comes to handbags is the Chloe handbags, in particular the Chloe Riva Satchel.

This beautifully structured lambskin handbag has several rectangular shapes that give the bag a distinct design. The double-top handle is a perfect 6” in length. This beautiful bag features a front flap pocket on the side that has two zippers. The inside pocket zips closed to hold your compact or lip gloss for easy access. The top zips as well for added security. This bag is functional enough to carry with you everywhere and so classy it will complement any outfit you own. Like all designer handbags, you can get yours online for only $1595.

Don’t get too offended with this statement. I will make it clear by explaining further. I have no intentions to talk negatively about the models of the top designers of the world, or any other models from any of the modelling agencies. However, I must warn that some models are so skinny, they have created really bad images about themselves. These models are trying so hard to remain thin so that they can wear the smallest size. However, there is a point when they no longer realise the difference between thin and skinny.

If you look closely, you can see some models have just the right shape while others are way too skinny. Every part of the body seems to be out of proportion. It is a bad message to the young girls out there who aspire to be a model as their career in life. These girls are easily influenced by the images and in return, they too become skinny. Skinny is when the bones are visible. No one likes to see a skeleton on the runway.

It is very important to have a healthy lifestyle and healthy body. Being a model is not all about being thin and beautiful. You must be in the right shape to be a model - but not a skinny one. You can be healthy and a beautiful model at the same time.

Functional Wardrobes

For people who work in the corporate world, it can be difficult to find a wardrobe that is functional and professional, and which can be worn after work for a casual date with your partner, friends or business associates. High heels give that air of competency in the office, but if you’re on your feet all day, then you can almost guarantee they will get pretty sore come 5pm. Same with the clothing. A tailored jacket looks smart, but can be restrictive and uncomfortable if worn for long hours. And after work, running for a train or a restaurant booking, heels and a suit won’t stand up to the task. But if you consider knitwear, particularly dresses, then you can wear it at and after work. Something stylish and fashionable can be great for a day with the bosses and then afterwards at a movie-and-coffee date. Similarly, skirts can be teamed with sweaters for a great office look that extends to the street. The added benefit is that you won’t need two wardrobes – one for home and one for work. The same collection of functional clothing can suit both the office and the street, which will save you money and double your wardrobe!

Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery is not a new term; in fact it has become a household term that everyone can recognise. The history of cosmetic surgery can date way back to 700 BCE. In ancient times, people already figured out how to repair damaged ears and reconstruct any impaired body parts. Since then, surgeons have emerged with the latest discoveries on how to repair particular body parts, how to change the structure of the other body parts and so on.

Let us look at what types of cosmetic surgeries available now in the ‘modern’ day. There is abdominoplasty, blepharoplasty, mammoplasty, buttock augmentation, chemical peel and rhinoplasty, just to name a few among the many other surgeries available. Abdominoplasty is the reshaping of the abdomen area. Blepharoplasty is the reconstruction of eyelids. Mammoplasty is three different surgeries but all targeting the same area - that is, the breasts. There are breast augmentations, breast reductions and breast lifts. Buttock augmentation is simply the process to enhance the buttocks structure by using fats or silicone. As for chemical peel, it is a process done on the face to minimise the appearance of acne and wrinkles. Rhinoplasty however, is the reshaping of the nose, which is what Michael Jackson is famous for.

Let us see what the reasons are for all these cosmetic surgeries. For some, it is inevitable due to a nasty accident. However, for others, they do it purely for beauty itself. Some women are so determined to look beautiful they are willing to spend thousands on surgeries, and putting their life at risk all in the name of beauty. I think that cosmetic surgeries are suitable for people who encounter accidents to recorrect their body parts, but if it is purely in the name of beauty, my personal opinion is that it is better stay away from it. You can never predict what would happen should you go under the knife.

Cosmetics are merely chemical substances women apply on their skin to make them appear beautiful, whether it is to cover a birth mark or to cover a blemish. Since the very first cosmetic products have been successfully produced, there are so many other products coming along. To name a few - lipsticks, eye shadow, blushers and foundation are several common cosmetics used by women to enhance their appearance. It works in some cases while others fail to achieve the desired results.

According to the U.S. FDA that regulates the cosmetics productions, cosmetics are to be used for cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance without affecting the body’s structure or functions. Now, you can see cosmetics being commercialised everywhere in the world. Due to the production of cosmetics, we have beauty experts and consultants teaching us how to apply the cosmetics to achieve our much-desired looks. These so-called experts earn a lot of money just by helping people to apply the cosmetics or simply teaching them the steps.

For the Hollywood rich and famous, it is common for them to have their personal beauty consultant that will help to enhance their appearance for any events they attend. While for some of us, the not so rich and famous, we can simply purchase the products and experiment at home. Surprisingly, young girls in their early teens have wanted to wear cosmetics as well, as they want to look beautiful. Such is the power of cosmetics and beauty. In recent years, a new colony of metrosexual men also appear to be using cosmetics to look handsome. I am beginning to think that the world of beauty and cosmetics are going way beyond the bounds of ‘normal’!

Fashion - The New Culture

Fashion refers to the style of the clothes we put on our body. Because of this, there are many fashion designers emerging overnight and selling off their masterpieces at a price unimaginable for people like me. Soon, new terms emerged from the fashion scene. There are terms like ‘fashionable’ and ‘unfashionable’. So what’s with the terms? Fashionable is a word to describe a person with a great fashion taste, meaning he or she dresses well with nice clothes probably designed by some high-end fashion designer. As for unfashionable, it is a term to describe people with bad fashion, meaning people who wear street dresses, probably being mass-produced and designed by some low profile fashion designer wannabe.

Why are we so trapped in the fashion scene? To be more precise, women are trapped in the fashion scene. Being a woman, you constantly want to look good and pretty and this is where the pressures come in. Everyday, there are fashion shows at the big cities such as Paris and New York. You can expect the A-list Hollywood stars booking several designers to design dresses for them to wear at the red carpet events. Soon, you will find yourself fantasizing about wearing the same dress as the superstars and before you know it, you are making your way to the most high end boutiques in your area and swiping your card just to get the exact same dress, only to find out that you will have live on bread for the next two months in order to be able to compensate what you have spent earlier.

Some of us ladies, the ‘unfashionable’ types, don’t care about the fashion scene as we are all struggling to work to earn a meagre living to support our family. However, we can never run away from the fact that the fashion scene is a new culture that we must embrace, regardless of whether we like it or not, as we are not given the power and position to determine what is good and what is bad for us. As for now, we all just have to cope with the so-called high-end fashion designers and their so-fake beautiful models. In times to come, fashion will have a whole new meaning none of us can ever understand.

Fashion Victim - Are You The One?

What is a ‘fashion victim’? I have come across this terms many times when it comes to women. It is simply a term originally from Oscar de la Renta that means a person who cannot recognise the boundary of fashion and style. These people, known as fashion victims, fail to dress as they should. Instead they over dressed themself and they change their styles frequently from one season to another.

How do you recognise a fashion victim? It is easy to spot one. A fashion victim will constantly purchase every new piece of clothing – from dresses to accessories and cosmetics fresh from the shop. They are not able to refrain themselves from buying anything when they see something new is coming out. Then after they have purchased all the things, they would wear all of it proudly, as if to announce to the whole world that they have all the latest stuff, from the latest evening gown, to the latest pair of shoes and the latest eye shadow. Of course, in their own eyes, they are perfect. For us, they are simply fashion freaks that have become fashion victims.

Are you a fashion victim? I hope not, as most of the fashion victims rely solely on their credit cards to purchase all their gear. Unless they are extremely rich, there is no way they can buy the stuff in cash as designer clothing lines and accessories may cost more than what we earn in a month. Please beware not to fall into being a fashion victim. Once you have fallen into it, it is very hard for you climb out and start all over again. Fashion should be moderate and not excessive.
